DO YOU GET THIS STORY?
The last time her flesh had been hit with the refreshing punch of cool air, was what had felt like weeks ago. Streaks of pale violet and icy pink lay along the sunset, and lit the aqua waters. It would’ve been perfect if these where not her last days to live. The boat rocked violently beneath her weak legs, and she collapsed on to the moist deck, her head slamming down roughly. She closed her blood-shot eyes, and heaved in more air- it felt like every breath was being sucked out of her throat, and the more she gasped the more air was taken. It had all hit her at once, the crashing of the waves, the shrieking of the other pengers- What was to come of this? She knew in some time, she would be taken by the... whatever it was. “It's going to be a wonderful family vacation- a cruise! Were going halfway around the world, Delia. You're a lucky girl.” her mother had said happily. As far as Delia knew, this was worse then any nightmare she had ever had. Her mother was gone. Her father was gone. It was all to soon be gone. She shut her weary eyes, trying to get everything out of her mind. All those horrifying flashbacks felt as if they drowned her, and took everything she lived for away. She thought back at the time she had been on the dock with her mom, laughing. “Mom, this is the best vacation ever!” she had told her mother. Later that day they where informed by other pengers that people on the cruise where going missing mysteriously. “Don't worry,” mom had whispered into my ear that night. Delia had found her mom and dad missing the next day. That wasn’t the only terrifying news- there was something in the water that was getting on board. She had seen it with her own eyes- there was no way to describe the thing she had seen. It took a while for all the pengers on the cruise to add all the missing people, and the monster together. It was later discovered that the creature was taking people underwater, and the people that had went under... never came back up. Then everything went black.**She awoke the next morning with a throbbing headache. She slowly fluttered her eyes open, and found herself where she had fallen the previous morning. She could tell the attack from the monster was over, she could hear no more screaming. The wind shimmered against her back- and the sun was slowly rising. “You alright?” asked a mans deep voice. She looked up and found herself looking up at an older man, with graying hair, and in a crisp suit. “Um...yeah, I'm fine.” she shuddered, shaking it off. “How many where taken this attack?” she asked. “Around ten.” he answered, sighing. She stared at a golden flicker on his suit- a name tag! It read, “Captain J. Crook,” He was the captain! The captain offered her a hand, and soon she was back on her feet. Before she questioned him, she had a chance to look around- people where slumping against the rim of the ship, tired. The deck was cold and soaked in water. She tried not to fall backward, for her head spun angrily. “Why can't you control the boat? Why are we stranded here being taken down into the sea?” she asked him, confused, and too tired to be angry. His eyes cringed. “I'm afraid the mechanics have tried everything to get this boat moving, but the anchor is stuck- it won't come back up. We can't even drift anywhere.” She nodded, and replied, “Oh. Is there anything I can do to help?” Delia new she couldn't just sit around all day, waiting for the monster to come back on board at dusk. “Just be strong.” he said, with a weak smile. He walked off toward a woman who was struggling to stand up. Delia's mind spun. It had been a day now since her parents where missing. She sat back down, watching the sun creep up above the clouds.“DELIA!” shrieked a voice from behind her. She whirred around, to find herself staring at a woman with dark brown hair, and a bright blue top on. “Oh! Miss. Rose!” she replied, and for the first time in a while, she grinned. Miss. Rose had been told about the cruise from her mother, and she wanted to come along. Miss. Rose lived a few blocks away from her. She was young, and pretty. “Sweetheart, I had received word about your parents. I'm so sorry!” Tears rimmed Delia’s eyes at the flashback, but she thanked Miss. Rose for the sympathy. “I must tell you something, Delia.” Miss. Rose whispered, then took her hand and led her out of earshot of the other pengers. Feeling odd that there would be something so important to say at a time like this, Delia followed eagerly, hoping maybe there was some good news. Mrs. Rose then started. “A night before the first attack, I called my friend, a police officer, telling her how well the cruise was going.” Delia nodded. “When I told her about the captain-” Delia interrupted her, “You mean Captain J. Crook?” Delia asked. “Oh-yes. Anyways, she said he was wanted!”Delia gasped. “That couldn't be-” she said. “It can!” Barged Miss. Rose, then she explained how her cell- phone h
