Downloading the central plaza?

I just signed into playstaion network. I created an avatar for playstaion home and when i try to go to the central plaza it has to download. So I clicked on download and it took 1 hour just for it to get 30%. So how can I get it to download faster. Im with hughes net, and if u weant to play online my name is Mr_Lumbee
