Is 83 years old , really old ? how old are you grandfathers? whats the average age ...?

My husbands grandfather just ped away and he was 98.. His great grand father died at 105.. they were still going strong but at the end it happened fast. On the other hand i guess it all depends on how well they will take care of themselves. Or how much they love life.
