for x intercepts set y to 0 and for y intercepts set x to 0. equation for axis of symmetry is -b/2a so -12/-2 = 6. with an x coordinate of 6 plug 6 into the equation and get: 6(6)+12(6)-9 which reduces to 36-72-9 = 45
