How to get videos onto my ipod?

I have an ipod touch and I believe that it is 2nd generation. I already have the videora and handbrake programs downloaded, if that matters. I was wondering if there is a way to transfer dvd's onto my ipod. Is that possible? If so, how do I do it. Which programs do I need? I am like computer/technology illiterate so step by step instructions would be great. Thanks so much :)
