Does anyone else notice parallels in how a world superpower becomes powerful?

Mostly, I think. China was not a conqueror and it was the other way around. But it's now becoming a superpower. But notice, no powerful and arrogant nation has lasted and not humiliated. Example: Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Spain, France, Great Britain, Germany, Russia... and much more. Some of them still exist but not as powerful as they were before. US of America... if he will continue to be an arrogant nation... he will suffer the same fate.
